About This Position:

As the Website Product Manager, you will help us create our next-generation online presence and product experience. You must have a customer-first mindset, a strong understanding of back-end and front-end development, and the ability to develop metrics that can be used to track, analyze, and improve our digital product. You will have 3+ years of experience in Digital Product Management and have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills as you'll be working with a team to implement a sophisticated content discovery platform for world-class learning experiences. This is a customer-centric role, working to translate the needs of the customer into online learning journeys.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive product development and hold long term roadmap to build a best in class content destination
  • Drive the platform planning process and ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization across cross-functional teams of the company 
  • Lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
  • Maintain roadmap and backlog and consistently build consensus around priorities and appropriate to-market plans
  • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and solutions 
  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
  • Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers and research teams from end to end of the process.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements

 

Qualifications and Characteristics Desired:

  • 3+ years experience in digital product management or similar
  • Experience product/project managing a robust eCommerce and content website
  • Business-driven analytical, prioritization, and planning skills
  • Usability and customer-focused design and testing experience
  • Comfortable in an Agile environment through all phases of product development
  • Ability to take complex ideas and translate them into design specs and wireframes
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
  • Proven experience managing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Demonstrable SEM and online advertising results
  • Strong writing and editing skills combined with strong communication skills
  • Empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into their challenges
  • Passionate about building great products and proactively solving customer and business problems
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative
  • Great, collaborative team player who brings new ideas to the table and also works well independently
  • Familiarity with the programs and events that The Shift Network offers
  • Knowledge of transformational content, including teachers and schools of thought
  • 1-2 years remote office experience (preferred)
