About This Position:

As the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Coordinator, you will work closely with hiring managers and interviewers to support the growth of The Shift Network while providing a top-notch, person-focused candidate experience. You will be responsible for attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews and references, and managing hiring paperwork. This role is an integral part of the team and is a vital participant in the hiring process from beginning to end.  

For this role, success will depend on building genuine relationships and trust across the organization as well as with candidates. You will have to be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while managing your time efficiently. 


  • Drive full-cycle recruitment through attraction, sourcing, screening, and interviewing of candidates
  • Create recruiting plan with deliverables, timelines, and tracking of progress or areas of opportunity
  • Bring innovative ideas for attracting and interviewing talent based on team and department needs
  • Be a key partner to hiring managers and constantly increase business acumen to understand job requirements, discover staff requirements and specific job objectives, and provide outstanding candidates
  • Source candidates by using databases and social media
  • Evaluate and screen resumes
  • Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills
  • Conduct Zoom and/or phone interviews and reference checks
  • Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  • Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessions
  • Assist with preparation of new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Other duties and special projects, as assigned

Qualifications and Characteristics Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years recruiting, administrative, or project management experience (preferred)
  • Experience in using an applicant tracking system (ATS), Slack, and Google Workspace
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships
  • Able to work efficiently and prioritize with little guidance
  • Relentless attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Great team player who brings new ideas to the table and also works well independently
  • Process-driven with strong habits and a passion for efficiency improvement
  • Passionate about candidate experience and process improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Comfortable with heavy calendaring
  • Familiarity with the programs and events that The Shift Network offers
  • Knowledge of transformational content, including teachers and schools of thought
  • 1-2 years remote office experience (preferred)
