As Sr. Manager, Marketing Production, you’ll lead the team responsible for developing and producing the digital assets necessary to deliver our marketing and product communication to the world. As the person responsible for tracking and delivering critical marketing elements on time, you will have a significant impact on business results. You will not only participate in defining creative briefs and establishing timelines, you will act as the gatekeeper and project manager for all incoming marketing asset requests while assigning responsibilities to copywriters, designers and web teams. Working closely with stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements, you will be responsible for establishing new processes that increase efficiency and productivity, communicating and prioritizing projects and ensuring that assets meet the delivery requirements and are implemented on time. The Sr Manager, Marketing Production will possess a balanced combination of strong creative, project management and overall marketing skills with a solid understanding of creative direction, ad specs, video formats, graphic design and content marketing. 

Responsibilities and Desired Skills:


  • Establish a best-in-class marketing production process, create schedules and project manage all marketing asset deliverables, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and meets a high-quality standard
  • Plan and organize marketing assets as needed for all projects and campaigns – organize and prioritize project requirements even for initiatives that may be ambiguous in the planning stage, or fast-tracked with tight deadlines
  • Act as a customer-centric marketer, seeing all projects and assets through the lens of the customer, as a brand ambassador by providing direction and insights to ensure all assets accurately reflect the Shift brand, and as a proactive facilitator to move projects forward to meet deadlines
  • Liaise between strategic marketing stakeholders, including product marketing leads and campaign strategist, and creative staff (internal and external) to ensure clear direction is achieved along with proper details so the final deliverables meet our desired outcomes
  • Facilitate creative approvals by overseeing the proofing process, routing work to stakeholders for feedback and obtaining the appropriate signoffs
  • Proactively obtain and manage all necessary project details for each marketing asset project request, including reference assets, screens, resource files and previously created templates
  • Create proposals, and develop recommendations, to implement new workflow systems and process optimizations to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Partner with product marketing leads, media director and social media staff to help guide photoshoots, videos, and other creative execution as needed
  • Lead daily (mini-scrum) status reviews of project, resource and asset management projects relating to all active marketing campaigns
  • Ensure the team is using the best systems and software to track the progress of deliverables and support efficiency and effective collaboration 
  • Monitor problems, provide solutions, and implement changes as necessary to ensure project timelines are followed
  • Provide feedback and creative guidance as needed to designers and copywriters to ensure accurate articulation of the marketing objective, customer communication and brand consistency
  • Effective people manager, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, set clear performance goals and motivate others to do their best work
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors as needed
  •  Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Characteristics Desired: 

  •  Minimum 5 years spent in a management role supervising marketing production or creative services in a digital product environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related fields a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, tactically and creatively -- coupled with strong organizational skills -- with the ability to conceptualize, manage and execute multiple simultaneous campaign projects to meet deadlines
  • Extensive knowledge of digital graphic asset formats and specs, as well as best-in-class project management tools, systems and processes for high volume digital marketing production and/or creative services
  • Exceptional communicator with clear, effective and concise written and oral skills to all levels of the business
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to scope and schedule changes
  • Agile, comfortable bending between what’s possible and what’s necessary, balancing competing priorities to help apply resources against the projects that are most beneficial to our customers and the business
  •  Solution-orientated, complex problem solver, adaptable to change and shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Consistently displays a high level of ownership, self-motivation, initiative and follow through
  • Solid knowledge of standard design/UI tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc)
  • A passion for life-long learning – experience in, and a passion for, personal transformation learning is a plus


Work Location:  We are primarily a virtual work culture, however if you are local to our offices in the North Bay area of California we may require two days office attendance (Tuesdays and Thursdays) once we’re past current events


Work Hours:       Generally Monday-Friday, 9:00-6:00 (unless otherwise indicated)
